SUGGESTION:

It is a fantastic accompaniment to red meat, cheese or pasta.

It should be drunk at room temperature, between 16°C and 18 °C.

TASTING NOTES:

Color: Vivid red with gleaming purple highlights.

Aroma: The nose is fine and elegant on ripe red fruits.

Taste: A wine with deep structure, and a delicate palate, revealing aromas from black current and violet.

VARIETIES:

The grape varietal Merlot is characterised by an early maturation, it is the first one to bring ripped and sweet berries. The grape varietal ‘Merlot’ earns its name from the ‘blackbird’, in French: ‘Merle’, a small bird particularly greedy for Merlot-berries

Terroir: Calcareous limestone soil
Climate: Mediterranean
Density: 4500 – 5000 vines/ha.
Average age of the vines: 20 – 25 years.
Yield: 85 to 90 hl/ha.
Winemaking: Traditional vinification. Destalking prior to temperature-controlled fermentation.
